Being awesome is not the same as being perfect.\u00a0 <\/span>Being perfect is not possible, so you may as well shake that notion out of your head.\u00a0 <\/span>Being awesome is being the best you can be.\u00a0 <\/span>It is bringing everything you have to the table and doing it well.\u00a0 <\/span>You cannot be good at everything, so be awesome with what you enjoy and what you know you are good at.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
There are reasons people do what they do and it is because they are good at it.\u00a0 <\/span>I am not good at plumbing and I know that I am not, so I hire it out.\u00a0 <\/span>If I chose to do plumbing, I would sit down and learn it until I know it.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>I would look up to see what the building codes say.\u00a0 <\/span>I would watch how to movies.\u00a0 <\/span>Practicing soldering on small pieces of pipe would probably even happen.\u00a0 <\/span>I would be the best I can be for this job and learn everything I can about it.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>I would be awesome.<\/div>\n

Everyday I go to work and do the best that I can.\u00a0 <\/span>I work hard, learn new technologies and listen to everyone around me.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>I work hard at being a leader and being a team member.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>I take my time and do a good job.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>I am awesome with the work I do, because it is the best I can do you.<\/div>\n

Steps to Being Awesome<\/b><\/div>\n
    \n
  1. Know your subject, read, watch videos, ask those who know

    <\/li>\n
  2. Be in the right frame of mind.\u00a0 <\/span>Shake off the nerves, the stresses and give the job or project 100% of your focus

    <\/li>\n
  3. Don\u2019t limit yourself.\u00a0 <\/span>You can do anything if you put your mind to it.\u00a0 <\/span>Look past what your limits and reach for the sky.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    <\/div>\n
      \n
    1. Listen to people.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>There are a lot of people around you that know stuff.\u00a0 <\/span>You cannot know everything, but you can know what you need to know.\u00a0 <\/span>Use knowledge found around you to help you.\u00a0 <\/span>Being awesome is all about attitude.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Remember \u2013 There is no such thing as perfect.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        <\/div>\n

        1. Practice, Practice, Practice.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Practicing every day will help you do better every day.\u00a0 <\/span>Without practice you are limited to the abilities you hold today. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          <\/div>\n

          1. Learn from your failures.\u00a0 <\/span>Failures only mean there is another way.\u00a0 <\/span>Search out the other way and try it.\u00a0 <\/span>You may fail multiple times before you find the right way.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
            <\/div>\n

            1. There is always someone who says you cannot do it.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Ignore it.\u00a0 <\/span>Use it as a prompt to only try harder.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>If it is getting to you, pause take a break.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Proceed when your head is clear.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Challenge<\/b><\/div>\n
              Learn something new every day.\u00a0 <\/span>I can be learning something to build on what you already know, or learn something totally new.\u00a0 <\/span>Learn it well, practice it and do not move on until you have a good grasp of it.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>If it takes longer than a day, don\u2019t fret, it will be worth it.<\/div>\n
