Every team has a slacker. \u00a0Your team can be at work, on the rink, ball diamond, or your marriage. \u00a0Are you the slacker? \u00a0 Why are you the slacker? \u00a0Are you listening to people other than yourself?<\/p>\n

Everyone has the ability to listen to themselves, but are you listening to others. \u00a0If you are not listening, you are probably not contributing to your team fully. \u00a0 Your team needs you. \u00a0 It is not about your needs ( well may be a little ). \u00a0 If you make it more about your team, you will be a better person and team player.<\/p>\n

There are various reasons that you may not be bringing enough to your team:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. You may not be aware. \u00a0Try listening<\/li>\n
  2. Your skills may not be up to snuff. You know how to learn – so do it.<\/li>\n
  3. You are bored. \u00a0 Really? \u00a0 Learn something new. \u00a0Try something new.<\/li>\n
  4. You are lazy. \u00a0Sorry, I cannot help you with that. \u00a0 Look in the mirror and see if you can live with it.<\/li>\n
  5. You do not respect your team member(s). \u00a0Why not? \u00a0Figure it out and resolve it. \u00a0 Everyone has a different personality, learn the good things about that person(s)<\/li>\n
  6. You are too quiet… sit up and use your voice.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    There are many more reasons and solutions to the reasons. \u00a0 You need to evaluate your position within the team. \u00a0If you are not pulling your weight or not being 100% to your ability, you are letting yourself down and your team.<\/div>\n
