although those are often part of the reward.<br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nWhat is leadership? \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leadership\">http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leadership<\/a><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">Qualities &amp; Attitudes<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Functions as servant to the group to which they are leading; not for oneself.<\/li>\n<li>Positive attitude, even in adversity<\/li>\n<li>Has a sense of humor<\/li>\n<li>Can lead without being a dictator and without being buddy buddy<\/li>\n<li>Humble in their abilities, but knows and has faith their abilities<\/li>\n<li>Knows how to set direction and knows when to change the direction of the sails<\/li>\n<li>Confident with themselves and their leadership<\/li>\n<li>Is decisive when making\u00a0decisions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to listen to others<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to learn and\u00a0delegate\u00a0according to the tasks at hand.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to influence their team<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to\u00a0challenge\u00a0current processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Leadership is slowly being lost in companies around the world. \u00a0As the current generation of leaders leave their positions, companies are scrambling to fill the positions. \u00a0It is very important that current leaders mentor and guide their successors prior to retiring or leaving the company. \u00a0Successor-ship\u00a0is task a leader must take on in order to keep the team successful.<\/p>\n<p>Canada seems to have world-class leaders that are sought worldwide. \u00a0It is important that we keep the cycle of leadership going;
